About Flower DIY

Made in Rochester, NY

Please let me know if you have any questions!

I started making 3D printed concrete floats in summer of 2024. After much research, design, and testing, I am extremely stoked to offer a functional tool for any professional concrete builder or skate DIY enthusiast.

In March 2024 I first saw the possibility of using 3D printing to create unique shapes when we got a 3D printer at work. The engineer in me knew I found something great and I just had to connect the dots.

It started as an experiment to see if a 3D printed float could be functional for shaping concrete.

The first couple prototype radius floats went to a few of the DIY's and locals to test out the idea and offer their feedback. Thanks to the positive support from the community and from the local DIYers at Honeyoye Falls NY, I was emboldened to continue to create more and fine tune the process.

The final designed floats were truly put to the test by the guys at Artisan skateparks while they were in town building the new park in Greece, NY over the summer 2024. I first got in touch with them when my crusty backyard pool and little DIY became a an after work destination for these warriors.

After a few rad pool sessions where I picked their brain for design tips, their positive feedback gave me the confidence to know that I had something that would work. I can finally bring these to the wider community of DIY and professional builders.

3D printing is nothing new, but it a number of unique benefits that make it perfect for custom concrete floats:

It solves the problem of easily producing complex shapes.

Infinite customization for different sizes and radii.

One piece construction

High precision for exact radius.

Abrasion and chemical resistant materials.

Material is available in any color imaginable

I want to make use of these features to create more creative designs.

Thank you for looking! I am truly grateful to offer something new to the community and the passion for skateboarding that has given me so much.

Big thanks to the Artisan Guys, Batman, Simon, Cam, JT, Chris, Matty, Tadashi, Twan, Mellon, Ben, Noah, Aaron for the support.
